1 0月5日（金）～10月8日（月）にて東京大学にて，fNIRS2018, biennial meeting of the Society for Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy 2018が開催されました．

この学会は，近赤外線分光法（near-infrared spectroscopy : NIRS）を用いた脳や筋肉と様々な疾患に関する研究を行っている研究者が世界より集まり，それぞれの研究成果を発表し，ディスカッションを行う国際学会です．理学療法学科からは，運動生理Labから椿淳裕教授と大学院生2名（秦偉翔さん，小島将さん）が参加し発表を行いました．

fNIRSとは，脳の血流内に存在するヘモグロビンの濃度変化から大脳皮質の神経活動を計測することのできる手法です．世界中の研究者の研究内容や考え方，新たな技術の開発など多くのことを学ぶことのできた学会となりました．
